DotA Allstars v6.59c 6v6 Ver.2

There are two reasons why I wanted to get this release out there. The first is that I'm pretty sure I've fixed the last game mode that wasn't working with 6v6, and the second reason is that this small error seemed to be causing a lot more trouble than I thought it would.

Once again, the switch command is disabled until IceFrog makes a significant change to the way it's coded in the official version. I tried a few different things, but it's far more complicated for me to try and fix it than someone using a real copy of the map, so I'm leaving it as it is for now.

Fixed:
  • Captains Mode (-cm) gamemode now (partly) works
  • An incorrect map size that was causing various game glitches

Known Bugs:
  • The -switch command has been disabled until it's fixed
  • Endgame Scoreboard is too big to fit all 12 players
  • Captains Mode (-cm) gamemode requires the 6th hero to be randomed due to a lack of gold

While I'm on the topic of gamemodes, I thought I would mention that the league modes will always stay as 5v5, because that's how competitive DotA is meant to be played.

I may have gotten ahead of myself, but is Captains Mode considered a league play gamemode? I hadn't even heard of it until someone mentioned it as a bug.

If that's the case, then it may be left out for future versions.

Overpower@Ursa Warrior is bugged, there is no limit hits, and then the AS bonus is kept during the 15 seconds of the spell.

That bug must have been in every 6v6 version so far, even 6.38b. Hopefully I can fix it for the next release.

Wow! i really like what you're doing.keep up the good work.

I know it may be a hassle, but could you maybe remove a few trees around the new circles of power [in scourge and sentinel]? its kinda annoying trying to get items and such.

tony, you might consider moving
those links at the top :)

- they have no bandwidth limit.
- till now, we experienced ONLY a 30 min
downtime once in a whole year (using hostgator).
- they are one-click downloads...dont nag like rapidshare :p

The main reason I do that is because downloads from Rapidshare supply me with a premium account for free. So it's like I get a little something back as well ;)

I don't see it as too big of an issue anyway, since I also have you're fast mirrors going as well.

I can confirm that this was present in 6.38b 6v6.

Funny how it made it all the way to the present version as well. Anyway, it's been fixed and will be released along with the next version.

Ulti Enigma is bugged too, his ulti is canceled after 0.1sec and he loses his attack and his spells, this effect stop when he died.

What player/colour was using Enigma at the time? I just tested it with Red & Green and his ultimate seemed to be working fine. Do you have a replay of this? Or do you remember any other conditions that were happening at the time?

He was red :/
Maybe some others spells could not work with players red or green.

The first time, he received tons of stun when he launched his ulti (empale-fissure-hex...), but he died 5sec later and everything worked well, but the second time he wasted his ulti on the ground at our fontain and the bug reappeared.
He had to die to get back his true enigma with his attack/spells.

Thanks Adri92. The bug is caused by Shuffle Players (-sp) gamemode and with Enigma being switched to another team. The result is that Enigma gets stuck in his own Black Hole.

I'll try and have this fixed by the next version.

Would it be possible to make an AI version of this. Perhaps talk with the AI make creator and figure something out. Because not very many people play 6v6 on Battle.net, I can only find 1 game per week maybe, and usually people just leave.

To everyone requesting an AI version:

I suggest you talk to the people that make the AI versions and convince them to port their AI to a 6v6 release. Doing it the other way around adds more work on my end, which I don't plan on looking into until the bugs in the regular map are fixed first.

I chatted with BuffMePlz who informed me that an AI version would not be plausible with the way that it's currently set up. Someone whould have to build an AI specifically for this map, and he doesn't have the time for it and the 5v5 AI.

Thanks for looking into it. Seems like it has to be done the hard way, which is converting an AI map the same way as the official map is converted.
