6v6 DotA Status

It's been a while since the last DotA update, and I don't even have Wc3 installed anymore. That doesn't mean there won't be more updates coming from this end though.

There will still be a 6v6 release of the latest DotA version (6.68c at the time I'm writing this), but it will have to wait a few weeks.

That's all for now.

v6.67c Released...

...and the changes are large enough to require a full re-port to 6v6 again. In the meantime I'm going to run the 6v6DotA bot on v6.67b. Check back in a few days for an update.

Upcoming Release

This is a quick update to let everyone know that I'll have some time to work on a 6v6 version of 6.67b tomorrow (March 28). If everything goes well, it should be released on that same night. If some issues arise then I'll keep you posted.

DotA Christmas Release

A few days ago, IceFrog released the 6.65 version of DotA. I've been a little busy due to the holidays, but it looks like I'll get some time to work on it soon and we should be able to see a 6v6 version on the 30th of this month.

In the meantime the 6v6 DotA bot will stop hosting the old version, and will continue again once the 6.65 6v6 version is finished.

Happy Holidays!

Fixed Download Links

I had accidentally uploaded the latest maps to a non-existent Rapidshare account, making the links expire after 10 downloads. I have put up new links and everything is working fine now.

The Next Release

I'm back on my computer with a solid internet connection, but I still won't be working on 6v6 until the 4th when I get some free time. If everything goes as expected, it will be released on the same day.

It looks like 6.61 could be out any time now, but I'll still work on 6.60b to get familiar with the new features that IceFrog has brought into the 6.6x branch. Then I'll follow with whatever release he has next as usual.

*Update* - 04/07/09 - 8:55 PM

Can't seem to get 6v6 working at all so far, the map won't even get past the loading screen. I'm packing it in for today and I'll give it another shot tomorrow.

Quick Update

I'm just posting to say that this site isn't dead, and I'll have another update with more details on July 2nd, and a possible 6.6x 6v6 release on July 4th.

Check back on the 2nd for updates.

v6.60 Info and Offline Bot

Lately I've been busy with real life commitments, but after checking out IceFrog's Blog, it looks like there are going to be a lot of new features for v6.60, including gamemodes. So this is just a heads up to say that a 6v6 version won't come out as fast as the previous releases (which were usually within hours of an official release) because of all the changes that I'll need to look over.

Regarding the Game Hosting Bot that I've been running... Blizzard has changed a few things on Battle.net that no longer allow these types of bots to run. It's possible that the creators of GHost++ will be able to get it working again, but I think that's the end of it from my side unless I can find time down the road to keep it up and running.

New DotA Version?

I noticed that IceFrog has released v6.59b today on getdota.com. After reading the changelog and viewing the forums, I realised that it's pretty much just a new version to add a secret quest for users to search for. Other than that, there are no real changes. So unless there is a good reason to convert that map to 6v6, I think I'll hold off until v6.60.

In the meantime, I'll see what I can do about the known bugs in the latest 6v6 version.
