DotA Allstars v6.59c 6v6 Ver.1

It turns out that it isn't very difficult to transfer what I've already fixed into a new version of DotA. It saves me a lot of time when I only have to fix the same bug once.

The switch command is having some very strange effects when I enable it for use with all 6 players. It will take some time to fix, but I'll make it a priority. If I can get it fixed, I'll release a Ver.2 soon after.

Fixed:
  • Random Draft (-rd) gamemode now works

Known Bugs:
  • The -switch command has been disabled until it's fixed
  • Endgame Scoreboard is too big to fit all 12 players
  • Captains Mode (-cm) gamemode only gives 5 heroes per team
  • The Tiny map size may be causing various game glitches

Eventually I might be able to get the endgame scoreboard sorted out. I was thinking of creating two scoreboards, one for the 10 regular players, and another for the 2 extras. I'll see if that's possible.

Thats great to hear. Regarding fixing the swtich command - isn't the original version also having issues with it? Perhaps its best to wait for that to be fixed before attempting to modify it for 6v6?

Yes that's true, and it's also what is making it so difficult to fix. More than likely I'll have to wait until IceFrog fixes it himself, but in the meantime with no other 6v6 bugs to fix, I like to mess around with it to see if I can come up with something.

I heard of a bug where Nerubian Weaver would teleport to random locations when using his ultimate when playing a 6v6 6.59 game. I cannot verify this issue though, nor can I verify that it is not present in the Original map.

If you do happen to fix the switch issue, maybe it would be a good idea to share the fix with IceFrog - I think it would be nice to show him some goodwill. Eitherway I might refrain from working on it if I were you as its kinda duplication of effort. I guess it just comes down to how much time you have on your hands :p

I already spent some time trying to fix it for this Ver.1 release and in the end, it does make more sense to avoid spending time fixing bugs in the official version, since they are bound to be fixed eventually.

I can verify this bug, was looking where I should post it at when I saw this. Happened to me during the last game I played last night. The only bad side to it is that it has a tendency to port you in the middle of trees :( . But ya I'm not sure if its a problem in the regular map as well, was thinking of testing it out.

Interesting, and does this bug happen every time Nerubian's ultimate is used? I'll probably need to see a replay of this happening so I know for sure, but if it's not the Red or Green players triggering this bug, then it might in regular DotA as well.

I don't believe it is every time it is used. It worked fine when I used it randomly running around, but I think it is when you've just taken tower or hero damage that it will bug out. And I was red, so maybe that was it, but I could try and get a replay of it or I could show ya :P

The more replays that show this the better, because if I can see how it's reproduced then I might be able to fix it. I wasn't able to reproduce it myself, so a replay showing this would be perfect.

You can upload the replay to a file-sharing website such as RapidShare or MediaFire and then post the download link here. Thanks.

Alright I got a friend to help me test it quick and it still bugged out as brown. (I hosted it then moved down since he can't host)

I'll try it out on 5v5 map if I play weaver anytime soon.

Hope it helps,

The issue with Nerubian Weaver has been fixed along with any other unknown bugs related to this, and will be released in the next version. I've updated the list of known bugs, so you can take a look at why it was happening.
